ARE YOU OVER COMPLICATING IT?

Here’s what I think… Making things complicated is reducing your ability to be consistent. A lot of the time when I have clients say they are struggling to stay consistent when we pinpoint WHY it’s normally because things have been over complicated.

Of course if you have to be in the kitchen every meal of the day for an hour or two to make the latest trendy nutritious meal you are unable to stay consistent!

Life can already feel chaotic, why not keep things simple?

Despite what food blogs or fitspo pages might lead you to believe, maintaining a sustainable & healthy diet is actually made up of MOSTLY fresh, plain, (sometimes boring) foods!

That’s music to my ears! If you haven’t already set your word for the year make it SIMPLIFY 😍

And another positive:

Eating mostly  “single ingredient” whole foods is not only great for our digestion, it’s great for our overall health.

The mindset I implement with my clients and myself is:

Eat reasonably simple and easy meals/snacks MOST of the, and enjoy 1-2 really special/fancy meals every week (still in line with our nutrition plan)

Choose this ⬆️ rather than trying to make everything perfect.

I don’t know about you but between being a mum, a wife, boss and also just KATE, I need convenience and ease! That way I can stay on track with my fitness.

I recommend filling your diet with mostly:

🍎Fruit

🥦Veggies

🥩Meat

🍦Dairy

🥚Eggs

🥛Yogurt

🌰Beans & legumes

🍞Wholegrains

🥜Nuts

(obviously sub out any items if you have an intolerance)

Yes that’s right, nothing out of the ordinary, nothing overcomplicated.

Also, follow the 80:20 rule - eat those foods 80% of the time, then eat those yummy, processed and more calorie dense foods 20% of the time! Now that’s my kind of math I can enjoy 😂

Repeat after me:

Eat simple = get results!

Love,
Kate x
