5 TIPS FOR EATING HEALTHY ~ ON A BUDGET ~

STOP feeling like this when adding up your weekly spend on grocery shopping…

If you’re a busy Mumma trying to eat healthily but also keep your grocery bill low, keep reading. I’ve got you covered 🤍

Here are my top 5 budget-friendly tips for eating well & keeping the cost low 👇🏼

1. PLAN OUT YOUR MEALS

BEFORE you head to the grocery shop…PLAN ahead.

Write a list of the meals you will be cooking that week and list any ingredients you need. This will not only help you stay on track but it will also help ensure you only buy the items you need.

2. EAT SEASONALLY

Eating seasonally will likely mean it’s cheaper and fresher!

So make a conscious effort to look out for the produce on special and stock up on these fruits and vegetables!

3. COOK IN BULK

Cook larger portions of each meal you make so that you can use leftovers for lunch the following day.

It keeps you organised, prepared and saves you money!

4. STOCK THE FREEZER

Other than keeping frozen vegetables, berries & fish in the freezer, did you also know that many other foods will freeze well?

~ Pumpkin
~ Potatoes
~ Avocado
~ Sweet Potatoes
~ Broccoli or Herbs
~ Egg Whites~ Breads & Crumpets
~ Uncooked Meat (TIP: Portion it out for easy future use)

5. DON’T SHOP WHEN YOUR HUNGRY

Don’t do it!! We’ve all been there…

You come out with a $300 shopping bill and not much to show for it. When we feel hungry we want to grab everything in sight and it can throw off the budget and our health goals. Make sure your hungry is satisfied before heading to the grocery store.

I hope these tips health to keep you on track with your health & budget!

Love Kate xx
